Description

Milk kefir, kefir mushroom or Tibetan mushroom are all names for the same product.

Many consider it almost a medicine, fighting a number of diseases, creating an ideal figure and improving the condition of the skin and hair.

The discovery of a mushroom compound and its properties is attributed to Tibetan monks

At one point, the monks noticed that yogurt, cooked in different containers, differed not only in taste, but also in consistency and properties. The one cooked in unwashed pots was thicker, it had a unique effect on the body.

Monks, who consumed this food to normalize digestion, saw surprising effects. They concluded that the kefir mushroom had a cleansing and restorative effect.

A millennium later, the use of Tibetan mushrooms was accepted by official medical bodies. Its help was found to be invaluable, and it was also proved when it should not be used.

Kefir mushroom has a beneficial effect on the work of the gastrointestinal tract, and this in turn reflects on the general well-being, and the condition of our skin, nails and hair. There are other useful properties of this product, let's mention some of them:

There should be no slime in the mushrooms, as its presence also indicates that it has lost its freshness and, accordingly, its beneficial properties.

When straining the curd milk and washing the mushrooms, you cannot use a metal sieve or a colander, and to clean the container in which the drink was fermented, do not use chemicals.

It is better to ferment yogurt not in a glass jar, but in a clay container, this is necessary so that the drink does not receive bright light and direct sunlight. Choose a container with a wide neck so that it can be washed easily.

Mushroom starter is sold in health food stores or specialty stores online.

If you use milk for preventive purposes, to make one serving per day you will need 2 teaspoons of kefir and 250 ml of whole natural milk with a fat content of at least 2.5%. You can buy them in the store, but only unpasteurized, since sterilized "long-life milk" is not suitable for cooking mushrooms.

Grind the mushrooms in milk at room temperature, cover with gauze and leave for a day in a warm and not illuminated place. Then, strain the resulting curdled milk into a clean cup or jar and rinse the mushrooms thoroughly under cold running water, put them back into a jar (also pre-washed) and fill with fresh milk.

This procedure must be done every day, otherwise the mushrooms will get sick and stop using, but with proper care they will feel good and reproduce well.

If you are going to use Tibetan mushrooms not as a preventive measure, but for the treatment of a certain disease, then consult a doctor before using it, since in some diseases the dose is calculated strictly individually.

The maximum amount of drinks consumed per day should not exceed 700 ml.

A healthy person for prevention can drink over 250 ml per day. It is quite enough to get rid of insomnia and upset stomach.

It is not recommended to drink kefir later than 40 minutes before bedtime. In addition, it should be borne in mind that at the beginning of drinking kefir there may be side effects in the form of diarrhea, so the first tests should be done either before dinner (15-20 minutes) or at the weekend.

And remember that in this case there is nothing wrong with it, as this curd milk cleanses the body and removes everything unnecessary from it.

Milk mushrooms should never be combined with alcohol - by combining its use with alcohol, you reduce the therapeutic effect to zero. In addition, you can provoke an allergic reaction.

You can store kefir either at room temperature, or on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, but no more than 12 hours. In general, if possible, use immediately after preparation. So you will be able to get the most out of it.
